Founder
Story
Dr. Xiaoyun (Mia) Zhang holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and a Master’s degree in Educational Counseling, accompanied by a California teaching credential.
She further earned her Doctorate in Educational Psychology from the University of Southern California (USC).
During her tenure as a research assistant at the Iowa State University Psychological Research Institute, she published two academic papers. She has represented Iowa State University, USC, and the California Institute of Technology at numerous psychology and education conferences, presenting research in both disciplines.

Dr. Zhang embodies Weizhen EduTech’s commitment to elevating students through academically rigorous, psychologically informed, and globally oriented guidance. Her leadership continues to shape the organization’s belief that every student deserves a pathway tailored to their potential—and an education that empowers them to thrive, lead, and innovate in an ever-changing world.
Professional Background & Leadership Experience
With a professional foundation rooted in both psychology and education, Dr. Zhang has provided specialized counseling for children and adolescents across welfare organizations, community health centers, and hospital settings. Her expertise extends to delivering professional seminars on educational psychology throughout California and teaching as an Undergraduate Instructional Assistant in Educational Psychology.
In 2017, she served as a Transfer & Student Development Advisor within the Los Angeles Community College District, followed by a role as an Undergraduate Academic Learning & Planning Advisor at USC, where she supported diverse student populations through evidence-based learning strategies and academic planning.
Dr. Zhang later distinguished herself at C2 Education, where she served as Center Director, Senior College Admissions Consultant, and Assistant Regional Director for the U.S. Southwest Region. In these roles, she led strategic program development, counselor training, and admissions outcomes across multiple campuses.
Today, Dr. Zhang collaborates with an expansive network of educational institutions including Feida Education, Beiai Education, and more than ten domestic and international partners—ensuring that students within the Los Angeles region have privileged access to the most robust, high-impact extracurricular and experiential learning opportunities available.
